Woman seeks damages after falling at Caki Too

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages for a slip and fall in New Orleans.

Cynthia Pettus filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Caki Too LLC, dba Southport Hall, and ABC Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 31 when the plaintiff was at 200 Monticello Ave. The plaintiff alleges she was walking on the defendant's premises and was caused to slip and fall on a slippery substance that was left on the ground and not cleaned up.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Megan Kiefer of Kiefer & Kiefer in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner.
