Nunez Community College claims former student owes more than $4,000

GRETNA – A community college is seeking more than $4,000 in sums due.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Nunez Community College filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Brittany Marie Stephens.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due of $4,045.05 plus interest in the balance of 25% of the aggregate balance. The plaintiff alleges that despite amicable demand, the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jessie Cannon of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald Rowan Jr.
