Mortgage holder allegedly owes over $132,000

GRETNA – A finance company is seeking over $132,000 from a customer.

Jefferson Financial Federal Credit Union filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Carolyn Williams.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an unpaid mortgage balance. The suit states the defendant has been negligent in paying off the balance owed to the plaintiff. The plaintiff is seeking payment in the sum of $132,000 plus interest on the total starting on July 1, 2010 until paid in full. The plaintiff has sought amicable demand for the full amount owed, but to no avail.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an unpaid balance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey Jones of D'Aquila, Contreras & Vega APLC in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
