Southeastern Louisiana University claims it is owed over $1,000 from a former student who failed to pay for attending

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $1,000 from a former student.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Ramos D. Travis.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off a balance due to the plaintiff. The plaintiff is seeking a balance of $1,032.75. Despite amicable demand, the plaintiff alleges the defendant has not paid the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Jessie Cannon of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-11861.
