Woman claims she was injured in fall due to faulty TRX workout bands

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages for a fall while she was using TRX bands to workout.

Penelope Dralle filed a complaint on Dec. 21 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Franco's Athletic Club LLC and XYZ Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 13, 2018 when the plaintiff was taking a TRX class at Franco's. The suit states that when the plaintiff was doing an exercise with the straps attached to her legs that the straps became loosened from where they were attached on the ceiling, causing her to fall and sustain injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failing to prevent a dangerous incident from occurring.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney M. Suzanne Montero of the Law Offices of Warren A. Forstall Jr. in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-12854.
