Barclays Bank Delaware files lawsuit seeking over $1,600

GRETNA – A bank is seeking more than $1,600 in sums due.

Barclays Bank Delaware filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Anthony M. Ruiz.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off an open account for the balance of $1,675 plus interest. The plaintiff allegedly has made amicable demand to the defendant for the credit card balance but the defendant has failed to pay off the balance due.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 790843.
