University of New Orleans is seeking more than $2,100

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans is seeking more than $2,100 from a former student.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisor through University of New Orleans filed a complaint on Dec. 26 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Souleymane Badiane.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the services issued while attending the plaintiff's institution. The plaintiff is seeking $2,131 plus interest from the defendant.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney Cates IV.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-12934.
