Man seeks damages following a fall in a McDonald's

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after he alleges that he fell in a McDonald's.

Ralph Napier filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the 24th Judicial District Court against McDonald's Corp., Valluzzo Companies LLC, McDonald's York Risk Services and XYZ Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 13, 2018, when the plaintiff was a guest at a McDonald's. Napier alleges that, due to no fault of his own, he was caused to fall when his foot became caught on the carpet and he struck his head on the floor. The plaintiff was admitted to Ochsner Medical Center for medical care.

The defendant is accused of negligence for not taking the appropriate measures to prevent injury.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Anthony Taormina of Law Offices of Anthony Taormina in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald Rowan Jr.
