Discover Bank seeks over $5,200 on open credit card account

GRETNA – A bank is seeking more than $5,200 from a customer, alleging he failed to pay off a balance due.

Discover Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Alvin Andrews.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off a balance of $5,264 plus interest. The plaintiff allegedly made amicable demand to the defendant for the balance owed but to no avail.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 791146.
