Hancock Whitney Bank files lawsuit seeking over $2,900

GRETNA – A bank alleges a customer has remained negligent on a balance of more than $2,900.

Hancock Whitney Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Masonaba A. Lewis.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an unpaid balance. The suit states that the defendant has been negligent in paying off $2,973 plus interest to the plaintiff. Despite amicable demand, the defendant allegedly remains negligent in the amount listed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an unpaid balance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Keith Frey of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy Miller.
