Woman claims she suffered an eye injury from falling debris in a hospital waiting room

NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges she was injured when debris fell in her eye at a hospital. 

Marion Coler filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Touro Infirmary and Hebrew Association, Touro Infirmary and XYZ Contractors.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 29, 2018, when the plaintiff was a guest in the labor and delivery waiting room at 1401 Foucher St. The plaintiff was allegedly injured when a piece of debris fell from the ceiling into her eyes, resulting in damages.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to take the appropriate actions.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Pierre Gaudin in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2019-387.
