Discover Bank alleges it is owed more than $23,000

GRETNA – A bank is seeking damages, alleging a customer has failed to pay off a balance due of more than $23,000.

Discover Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 17 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Lester Lusignan.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has been negligent in the balance of $23,384 plus interest. Despite amicable demand from the plaintiff, the defendant allegedly remains negligent for the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Donald Rowan Jr.
