Plaintiff claims she fell in an unmarked hole in a medical office's parking lot

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, alleging that she was injured when she tripped in an unmarked hole in a parking lot.

Mary Grace Orsag filed a complaint on Jan. 17 in the 24th Judicial District Court against DIS West LLC and/or DIS and/or Diagnostic Imaging Services, and Capitol Specialty Insurance Corp.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 25, 2018,  when the plaintiff was at the defendant's property at 925 Ave. C in Marrero. The plaintiff alleges she was injured when she stepped into a hole that was not marked, causing her to suffer numerous physical injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to prevent an injury from taking place.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by James Shields Jr. of Shields Law Firm in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
