Man claims he tripped and fell over a display at Rouse's Market

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages, claiming that he was caused to fall on a floor display at a market.

Patrick Coursey filed a complaint on Jan. 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Rouse's Enterprises LLC, dba Rouse's Market.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for negligence and failure to prevent an incident from taking place. The suit states the plaintiff was at Rouse's Market at 4041 Williams Blvd. in Kenner on March 29, 2018. The plaintiff allegedly was caused to trip and fall on a display that was hidden from sight, causing injury to the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to prevent an incident from taking place.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David Colvin of The Colvin Law Firm in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
