Woman sues for damages after fall at a New Orleans Hilton

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is suing the owners of The Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel, alleging that she was caused to slip and fall due to the property's negligence. 

Virginia Denis filed her complaint against Park Hotels & Resorts Inc., et al, on Jan. 22 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court. According to the suit, Denis was walking toward an elevator bank when she was caused to slip and fall in a puddle of liquid at the hotel on Feb. 11, 2018. She was injured in the fall and alleges the hotel was negligent in failing to clean up the mess.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. She is represented by attorneys David Geerken of Dudley Debosier PLC in New Orleans.


The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
