Citizens Bank files legal action seeking over $119,000 on unpaid mortgage

GRETNA – A bank is seeking more than $119,000 in sums due on an unpaid mortgage.

Citizens Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Laura Meehan Scharzenbach.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on a mortgage payment. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off a mortgage balance of $119,960 plus interest of 3.875 percent per year until the balance is paid.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a mortgage payment.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Amy Schapansky of Shapiro & Daigrepont LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald Rowan Jr.
