Capital One seeks $2,100 for woman's credit card debt

GRETNA – Capital One Bank is seeking more than $2,000 due on a woman's credit card.

The bank filed a complaint against Carrie Mendoza on Feb. 1 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off an open account for the total of $2,137.43 plus interest on a credit card balance. Capital One alleges that it has made amicable demand but to no avail.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The bank is represented by Laura A. Guliuzo of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.


The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
