Lender sues business owner over $31,000 debt

GRETNA – American Express National Bank is seeking more than $31,000 allegedly due on a woman's account.

The bank filed a complaint against Julie Gendusa and Gendusa Enterprises on Feb. 1 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $31,168.36 plus interest. The defendant has been made amicable demand from the plaintiff but to no avail, the suit claims.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. American Express National Bank is represented by Paul S. Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.


The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
