Synchrony Bank seeks more than $2,000 from allegedly negligent customer

GRETNA – A bank is seeking more than $2,000 from a woman it alleges was negligent on a balance due.

Cavalry SPV I LLC, as assignee of Synchrony Bank, filed a complaint against Sherry Lanigan on Feb. 8 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $2,112.47 plus interest, claiming that despite amicable demand, the defendant remains negligent.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Edward F. Bukaty III in Metairie.


The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
