American Express files complaint over $25,000 debt

GRETNA – American Express National Bank claims it is owed more than $25,000 on an open account.

American Express filed a complaint against Marilyn Thornton and MST Enterprises LLC on Feb. 20 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $25,509.98 plus interest on an open account, claiming the defendant has been negligent despite amicable demand.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. American Express is represented by Edward F. Bukaty III in Metairie.


The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
