Barclays alleges customer negligence on a $5,800 balance

GRETNA – Barclays Bank Delaware is seeking more than $5,000 in sums it claims are due on a customer's open account.

The bank filed a complaint against Barbara J. Sharper on Feb. 20 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant is indebted for the balance of $5,873.76 plus interest on an open account. Despite amicable demand, the suit states, the defendant remains negligent for the balance owed.

Barclays Bank Delaware is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul S. Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.


The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
