American Express is seeking more than $37,000 in sums due

NEW ORLEANS – American Express alleges it is owed more than $37,000 on an open account.

American Express National Bank filed a complaint on Feb. 19  in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Darnell R. Brown and Gentilly Spice Kitchen LLC.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off an account balance of $37,066 plus interest. The plaintiff alleges defendant has failed to pay off the account despite amicable demand.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Edward Bukaty III in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2019-1878.
