GRETNA – Two individuals allege their Gretna apartment had mold issues that were not remedied.

Catrina Farol and Germain Hurlston filed a complaint on March 12 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Stonebridge Manor LLC, KCB Real Estate Management, Multifamily Management Inc. and ABC insurance company.

According to the complaint, Farol entered into a one-year lease to reside at Stonebridge Manor in Gretna in December 2017. The suit states Hurlston resided with Farol there as well.

The suit states that during her time at the location, Farol noticed water leaks and mold throughout the apartment and in December 2017, she informed the defendants about water leaks and mold. The plaintiffs allege that the defendants failed to remedy the issues in a timely manner, resulting in sickness and property damage.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiffs are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiffs are represented by DeVonn Jarrett of Jarrett Law Group in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
