Man claims Home Depot didn't provide component needed for safe operation of rented electric hammer

GRETNA – A man is suing Home Depot, alleging he was injured using a tool he rented.

William O. Little Jr. filed a complaint on March 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court against The Home Depot U.S.A. Inc., ABC Insurance Co. and XYZ Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 21, 2018, The suit states that the plaintiff read the guide for the elelctric hammer he rented, but that the appropriate component to the tool had not been provided by Home Depot, causing the plaintiff to injure his hand.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeremy Pichon of Wright, Pichon & Gray PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 793243.
