Man sues businesses after allegedly falling over metal debris

GRETNA – A man is suing an electrical company alleging that workers created a dangerous situation by blocking a pathway.

Lennie Dufrene filed a complaint against PW Nola LLC, Jouandot Electrical Services LLC, Causeway LLC, and Gallagher Bassett on April 17 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 20, 2018, when the plaintiff was at the Lakeside Shopping Center at 3301 Veterans Blvd., New Orleans, and was caused to trip over a piece of metal that was blocking his path. The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jonathan L. Schultis of Ricci Partners LLC in New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
