MOULEDOUX BLAND LEGRAND & BRACKETT LLC: OWCP Announces Rate Increases

Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett, LLC issued the following announcement on Sept. 20.

The Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs of the United States Department of Labor has announced the cost of living adjustment effective October 1, 2019. The National Average Weekly Wage increased by 3.26% to $780.04.

This increases the maximum and minimum compensation rates under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, the Defense Base Act and the Non-Appropriated Funds Instrumentalities Act. The Maximum compensation rate will be $1,560.08 and the minimum compensation rate will be $390.02 as of October 1st. Note that the minimum compensation rate does not apply to the Defense Base Act by statute.
