A man who slipped and fell outside of the Dollar General at 4201 East Judge Perez Drive in Meraux offered the retail store a settlement number for his injuries.

According to the documents filed by plaintiff Donald Sino's attorney, $200,000 was proposed by the plaintiff for settlement.

Sino was allegedly at the store on April 12, 2020 and slipped on a puddle of water while shopping resulting in meniscus tears and other injuries. After his fall Sino was treated at the St. Bernard Parish Hospital Emergency Department, where an MRI was ordered. Sino claims he then had to continue his treatment at Shoemaker Chiropractic and the Bone and Joint Clinic for several months.

Sino is represented by Larry M. Aisola Jr. LLC of Chalmette and Dollar General is represented by in-house counsel.
