Grocery store, Coca-Cola sued for injury sustained after customer trips over floor display

NEW ORLEANS - James Kuhn filed a federal lawsuit on Nov. 18 in the Eastern District of Louisiana against Winn-Dixie Montgomery, LLC. and Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. for negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 20, 2020, Kuhn was shopping at Winn-Dixie when as he was rounding a large Coca-Cola floor display, he tripped on part of the display that extended forward and was very low to the ground, making him unable to be seen by another customer approaching the display. 

Kuhn was caused to suffer painful, severe and permanent personal injury; past, present and future mental anguish, medical expenses, lost wages, enjoyment of life; and disability.
