Louisiana State Bar Association recently issued the following announcement.
The Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education (LCLCE) has extended the deadline to Jan. 3, 2022, for two awards — the Judge Benjamin Jones Judges in the Classroom Award and the President’s Award of Excellence for Outstanding Civics Teacher.
The Judge Benjamin Jones Award honors a member of the judiciary who has contributed greatly to the law-related education of Louisiana youth. The President's Award of Excellence is given to an outstanding Louisiana elementary, middle or high school teacher who imparts knowledge and understanding of Law and Civic Education and demonstrates the use of interactive learning techniques that make a difference in student learning.
