Gross receipts taxes are experiencing a resurgence with the allure of quick, large and stable amounts of revenue.

Partner Michelle DeLappe, of the firm's Seattle office, joins University of Connecticut School of Law Professor Richard Pomp and COST President and Executive Director Doug Lindholm to present a session exploring the downside of GRTs from a policy perspective, and why such taxes should not be a part of any state’s revenue programs. The speakers will also discuss the complexities of GRTs from a compliance perspective, and the expensive and complex litigation that inevitably follows their adoption.

This session is part of the Council On State Taxation (COST) 2023 Income Tax Conference & Spring Audit Session.

Please note there is a cost to attend. Registration limited to COST Industry Members.
