NEW ORLEANS — A St. Bernard Parish woman claims she was terminated from her employment with Progressive Services after she was sexually harassed by her supervisor.

Progressive Services Inc., Todd Britto, ABC Insurance Companies and Doe Defendants 1 through 10 were all named as defendants in the suit.

Alicia Rhome was a skilled roofer and mechanic and worked for Progressive and during her employment she alleged she faced discrimination and sexual harassment, according to a complaint filed Oct. 10 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Despite her expertise, Rhome claims she was paid less than her male colleagues.

Rhome claims she was also physically and verbally sexually harassed by her supervisor, Todd Britto, and reported the harassment, but no meaningful action was taken.

Following her complaint, Rhome was placed on paid leave but was never included in the investigation and upon her return, she was given new job duties and encountered her harasser again. Shortly after, she was terminated.

Rhome claims the mistreatment by her employer caused her anxiety, embarrassment, income loss and other damages.

Rhome claims Britto constantly asked her to have sex with him and would also threaten her and curse at her.

Rhome is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is represented by William Most and David Lanser of Most & Associates in New Orleans.
