Man says GMC Yukon he purchased was defective

Federal Court
Gmc

A Louisiana man says the GMC vehicle he purchased was defective.

Ryan McCombie filed his lawsuit against General Motors in federal court.

According to the complaint, McCombie bought the GMC Yukon XL from Royal Buick GMC on May 6, 2022, for $91,398.80, but he alleges it had defects in materials and workmanship discovered within the warranty periods.

McCombie claims the Yukon had a loud knocking sound under the vehicle and experienced "hiccups" when driving at certain speeds. Despite returning his Yukon to GM and its authorized dealers for repairs on numerous occasions, McCombie says GM failed to repair the vehicle.

McCombie is seeking damages amounting to $50,000. He says he provided GM with sufficient notice and opportunity to repair his defective Yukon and performed all duties required of him under Louisiana Redhibition Laws.
