Woman sues after being hit by falling sign at Target

A shopper says she was injured when she was hit by a falling sign while shopping at Target.

Allison Howard filed her lawsuit in federal court against Target Corporation of Minnesota.

According to the complaint, Howard was shopping at the Target store in Covington on March 27, 2023, when the sign fell and hit her. She says the sign, which was made of metal and wood and was not properly secured, struck her on her neck and upper back causing severe injuries. 

Howard is seeking compensatory damages for physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, disability, medical expenses, lost wages, loss of services and enjoyment of life. 

She is being represented by Pedro F. Galeas from The Galeas Law Corporation.
