A rail conductor claims he suffered foot problems because of negligence on the part of his employer.
Eddie J. Logan III filed his complaint in federal court against the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad Commission.
The defendants named in the lawsuit include the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad Commission for the Port of New Orleans, successor of New Orleans Public Belt Railroad Corporation and Public Belt Railroad Commission for the City of New Orleans.
According to the complaint, Logan was employed as a Switchman/Conductor for the defendant. He says his work directly affected interstate commerce carried out by these entities. He also alleges his rights and remedies against these defendants arise under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act.
