In the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, a lawsuit has been filed by Cynthia Wilson against Family Dollar Stores of Louisiana, LLC; Family Dollar, Inc.; and Family Dollar Services, LLC. The court case ID is 2:24-cv-00881-SSV-JVM and it was filed on April 8th, 2024. Wilson alleges that she suffered a severe spinal injury due to a slip and fall accident at a Family Dollar store in Franklinton, Louisiana.

The plaintiff's lawyer claims that the defendants are liable for her injuries due to hazardous conditions present in the store. The lawsuit further details that Wilson slipped immediately upon entering the store, leading to her injury which required surgical repair. The plaintiff is a resident of Louisiana while the defendants are corporations organized under the laws of Delaware and Virginia with their principal place of business in Virginia.

Wilson is seeking monetary damages from all three defendants who she claims are jointly and/or solidarily liable for her injuries. She asserts that the negligence of the defendants led to her serious spinal injury.
