In the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, plaintiffs Ashley Dykes and Braden W. Moody have filed a lawsuit against FCA US LLC (Chrysler). The case, identified as 2:24-cv-00909-JTM-JVM, was filed on April 11, 2024. The plaintiffs allege that Chrysler violated express and implied warranties associated with their purchase of a 2022 Jeep Gladiator.

The plaintiffs purchased the vehicle from Rainbow Dodge Chrysler and Jeep on December 17, 2022, for a sum of $85,420.88. They argue that the vehicle did not meet the standard quality promised by Chrysler due to defects in material or workmanship. Furthermore, they claim that repair work performed by the defendants was not carried out in a good and workmanlike manner.

The lawsuit asserts that these breaches of warranty have caused significant damages to the plaintiffs. The exact cost and value of these damages have not been specified but are said to exceed $75,000 excluding interest and costs.

Dykes and Moody are seeking judgment against Chrysler for violating federal law under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and state laws. They request compensation for their damages exceeding $75,000 as well as any other relief deemed just by the court.
