Diagnostic and Interventional Spinal Care of Louisiana, Inc. (AVALA Spine) and Compounding Pharmacies of Louisiana, Inc. (Professional Arts Pharmacy) have filed a class action lawsuit against UnitedHealth Group Incorporated, Optum, Inc., and Change Healthcare Inc. The case was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana under case number 2:24-cv-01011 on April 22, 2024.
The plaintiffs allege that the defendants failed to protect highly sensitive personal, medical, and financial information they process and maintain. This alleged failure led to a data breach involving billions of records of innocent customers.
