In the United States District Court, Middle District of Louisiana, plaintiff John Morgan has filed a lawsuit against Hon. Jeffery Oglesbee, a family court judge for the 21st Judicial District Court of Louisiana, and Feliciana Lopez Morgan, a natural-born citizen of the Republic of Philippines. The case ID is 3:24-cv-00361-BAJ-RLB and it was filed on May 7th, 2024.

The lawsuit alleges due process violations under the Louisiana Constitution and the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The plaintiff's attorney is Jarrett Ambeau from The Ambeau Law Firm. According to the complaint, Judge Oglesbee issued a ruling in favor of Feliciana Lopez Morgan that would result in the deportation of John Morgan's minor child to the Philippines, who is an American citizen.

John Morgan claims that Feliciana Lopez Morgan has threatened to ensure that their minor child never returns to the United States. He argues that if Judge Oglesbee's orders are executed, there will be irreparable injury and a complete absence of legal remedy available.

The plaintiff seeks injunctive and declaratory relief against both defendants. He asserts that his rights have been violated and demands justice for himself and his minor child.
