Southern University Law Center student, Jaylin Fair, received the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA) Historically Black Law School Scholarship during the 44th Annual BESLA conference on November 13-17 located in San José del Cabo, B.C.S., Mexico.
“Success is not just about what you accomplish in your life, but what you inspire others to do,” said Jaylin Fair, third-year Law Center student. “Not only will this scholarship play a pivotal role in my journey toward becoming an attorney, but it also gave me the chance to build a powerful community and create unforgettable memories.”
The annual BESLA conference serves as a premier networking event that offers unparalleled access to top industry professionals and emerging talent, both at regional events in the U.S. Attendees benefit from educational panels led by some of the industry's top attorneys and executives, who discuss the evolving landscape of the entertainment, sports, and related industries.
During the event, Fair was joined by Alvin Washington, SULC Interim Chancellor; Marla Dickerson, Vice Chancellor of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives; and Omarosa Newman, Law Center student.
