Wal-Mart customer blames employee for injuries

A Wal-Mart customer claims she was struck in the back by a metal display rack that was being moved by an employee, according to a suit filed in Orleans Parish District Court on April 21.

Plaintiff Charlotte Crist claims the incident occurred at the store on Behrman Highway in New Orleans in July 2009.

As a result of the accident, Crist claims she suffered and continues to suffer multiple personal, psychological and emotional injuries, including pain and suffering, lost wages, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of use of body parts and impairment of psychological functioning.

Crist claims the accident could have been avoided had the employee not attempted to move the display rack without guidance.

Wal-Mart allegedly failed to safeguard the premises as a business invitee, failed to discover and correct dangerous conditions and failed to inspect for dangerous conditions.

Crist is being represented by Michael Hingle & Associates of Slidell.
