Sunshine Pages sues sales company for allegedly withholding sales proceeds

DONALDSONVILLE – A Louisiana telephone directory company is suing a Michigan sales company for allegedly withholding payment from sales made.

Eatel Directories filed suit on Feb. 24 in 23rd Judicial District Court against Genesis Publisher Services. The plaintiff claims the defendant was contracted to do national sales and marketing work for them including processing and billing advertising orders. Eatel Directories alleges Genesis collected on a number of accounts, but failed to remit the payments to them.

Damages in the amount of the contested sales of $297,997.46 plus attorney's fees and legal costs are sought by the plaintiff.

Eatel is being represented by Richard F. Zimmerman, Jr. of Baton Rouge-based Kantro, Spaht, Weaver and Blitzer.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Ralph Tureau.
