William E. Mura

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing a local apartment building for injuries she claims to have received on its premises.

Vicky Everage filed suit against Carlyle Holdings LLC, the Carlyle Apartment Homes and LMS Real Estate Investment Management LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 21. Everage claims she was walking in the parking lot of the Carlyle Apartment Homes when she tripped and fell in a flower bed. The plaintiff alleges she received injuries to both legs, both ankles and her left shoulder in the fall.

The defendant is accused of failing to properly maintain the premises, failing to warn those on the premises of the dangerous conditions, failing to adequately inspect the property, placing residents in a perilous situation by lack or maintenance and failing to warn of dangerous and unsafe conditions on the premises.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for mental pain and suffering, impairment, medical expenses and loss of income.

Everage is represented by New Orleans-based attorney William E. Mura.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib.

Case no. 719-324.
