Historical renovation company ordered to surrender property

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish resident is suing a renovation company claiming she is the lawful owner of a lot of ground in the 5th District of the City of New Orleans of which the company currently claims possession.

Louise H. Catalon filed a lawsuit against Historical Renovation Company, Inc. in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Aug. 14. Catalon alleges that defendant has no title whatsoever to a piece of property and it refuses to surrender possession. The plaintiff alleges she is being deprived of her property due to the defendant's actions.

The defendant is being asked to surrender possession of the property to the petitioner.

An unspecified amount is sought for all cost of the court proceedings.
Catalon is represented by Kenneth E. Pickering of New Orleans-based Pickering & Cotogno.

This case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.

Case no. 2012-07981.
