Contractor sued by electrical company for alleged non-payment on a downtown New Orleans project

NEW ORLEANS – An electrical company domiciled in Addis, La. has filed a lawsuit against New Orleans contractors for alleged non-payment of services provided on a downtown New Orleans construction project.

Sun Electrical Instrumentation LLC filed a lawsuit against Supreme Commercial Contracting, LLC in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Aug. 21. The petitioner claims that the defendant has not paid them for electrical work performed on the Gravier Street project. The defendant is allegedly indebted to the plaintiff in the amount of $34,378.05.

The defendant is accused of failure to pay plaintiff the full amount due for labor rendered.

The plaintiff is requesting payment in the full sum of $34,378.05 together with 18 interest from date due until paid and attorney's fees and cost for all proceedings.

Sun Electrical is represented by Craig L. Caster of Kaster & Cop LLC.

This case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.

Case no. 2012-08164.
