Non-payment for work done on Arabi Gym project leads to lawsuit

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans construction company is suing a project manager and a related company for failing to pay the balance due for work performed on a subcontract.

Southwinds Express Construction, LLC filed a lawsuit against F.H. Paschen and S.N. Neilsen & Associates LLC in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Aug. 21. The plaintiff claims that, in concordance with the amount agreed to be paid for labor on the Arabi Gym project, it is owed $121,143.72 from Paschen and that S.N. Neilsen & Associates is liable for attorney's fees.

The plaintiff is seeking the sum of $121,143.72 plus legal interest, court costs and attorney fees.

Counsel for the plaintiff is Mandeville-based attorney R. Collins Vallee.

This case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.

Case no. 2012-08186.
