St. Bernard Parish President sued over failure to pay for campaign ads

NEW ORLEANS –  A New Orleans production company is suing St. Bernard Parish President Dave Peralta for allegedly failing to pay for campaign ads produced by the company.

SDT Productions LLC flied suit against Peralta and his campaign in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court. The plaintiff alleges that it produced three television commercials for Peralta’s successful campaign and purchased air time on Fox 8, WDSU 6, and WWL 4. During the campaign Peralta maintained an open account, but after the election he has allegedly made no payments, in spite of amicable demands by SDT Productions, the lawsuit claims.

Peralta won the election with 51 percent of the vote over incumbent Craig Taffaro.

SDT Productions is seeking the balance of the account, $117, 830.00, and the cost of the proceedings.

SDT Productions is represented by Berrigan, Litchfield, Schonekas, Mann & Traina LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin
