Solar panel installation company sued by manufacturer on breach of contract claims

GRETNA – A solar panel manufacturer is suing a local solar panel installation company for breach of contract for allegedly not paying for goods received.

Sunwize Technologies, Inc. filed suit against Solartek Energy of Louisiana, LLC and Matthew Gregory Carpenter in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 7. Sunwize Technologies, Inc. claims Solartek Energy of Louisiana, LLC and Matthew Gregory Carpenter have an open account for merchandise they received. The plaintiff alleges the defendants still owe $15,645.89 for that merchandise.

Damages in the amount of $15,645.89  plus attorney’s fees is sought by the plaintiff.

Sunwize Technologies, Inc. is represented by Christopher J. Stahulak of New Orleans-based Degan, Blanchard & Nash.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Walter J. Rothschild.
