Law firm sues former client for over $14K in unpaid services

Breach of contract

GRETNA – A Gretna-based law firm is suing a St. John the Baptist Parish woman for allegedly not paying her legal bills for their representation in a domestic matter.

Beevers & Beevers LLP filed suit against Natalie Tatje in the 24th Judicial District Court on Feb. 22.

Beevers & Beevers claims it was contracted by Tatje to represent her in securing alimony payments on Jan. 22, 2010 for $250 an hour plus 12 percent annual interest. The plaintiffs allege the defendant owes $14,548.58 for services they provided under this contract.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $14,548.58 plus 25 percent of the principle and interest collected and legal costs are sought by the plaintiff.
