GRETNA – The parents of four minors who allegedly stole a woman’s wave runners and damaged them during a joyride are being sued.

Shelly M. Landry filed suit against David Vines, Darrin Constanzi Sr. and Tedmund J. Tardo Sr. in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 1.

Landry claims that the children of the defendants trespassed on her property in a gated development and broke two hoists that held wave runners she owned, which they then rode in a canal, the suit claims. The plaintiff alleges that the minors crashed the wave runners into bulkheads and into each other. Landry asserts substantial repairs were needed to the hoists as well as one of the wave runners and the other wave runner was damaged beyond repair.

The defendants are accused of intentionally and willfully damaging the plaintiff’s property.

Landry is represented by Timothy G. Schafer of New Orleans-based Schafer & Schafer.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.

Case no. 728-473.
