Video poker company sues bar for alleged breach of contract

Breach of contract

GRETNA – A video poker company is suing a local bar for allegedly breaching their contract to place gaming machines in their establishment for a 10-year period.

F.A.N. Inc. filed suit against 3217 Ridgelake Partners LLC, Caddyshack Café and Bar, Kyle Arcenaux and Lucky Coin Machine Co. LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 15.

F.A.N. Inc. claims they entered into a contract to place gaming machines in the Caddyshack Café and Bar located at 3217 Ridgelake.

The plaintiff alleges that the bar was to receive a 70 percent stake in any profit the machines produced in exchange for exclusive placement of Lucky Coin video poker machines in the establishment.

F.A.N. Inc. asserts that in year six of their relationship Caddyshack Café and Bar decided not to renew the Lucky Coin machine placements, which went against the agreed upon terms in the original contract.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for a preliminary injunction to enforce the contract and attorney’s fees and costs.

F.A.N. Inc. is represented by attorney Philip C. Ciaccio Jr. of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

Case no. 729-954.
